OK let's look at the facts; First off the median price for any one of the 4 major console game platforms is $50. That's a rather over-inflated price considering that you are not buying a unique product. That is to say that everything from movies to games for your console are merely copies of one product.
Now this duplicate product is rather fragile, don't you think? Don't ever touch the surface , oh no, it's more delicate that crystal for pete's sake.
If these companies didn't have their heads stuffed so far up their behinds (which is where they keep their wallet by he way) They would realize that there is a whole new market just waiting to be saturated. The up sell they could make on any original console game download, or purchase would be enormous.
Let's ay that for 10 dollars you could exchange any damaged CD or DVD through the mail, for a new copy. Notice the word copy, with an ROI of over 1000% it's a win/win situation. The consumers, retailers and console game developers all win.
The total effect of this would almost abolish the use of console game torrent downloads. How can the big wigs not see this? |
